Yesha Council plans second march

The Jerusalem Post informs us that a second march is being planned after the first one was called off yesterday:

On the same day that the anti-disengagement rally at Kfar Maimon was called off,the Council of Jewish Communities in Judea, Samaria, and the Gaza Strip (Yesha Council) announced it was already planning a mass march for the beginning of next week in a second attempt to try and enter the sealed off area of Gush
Katif.

This is going to be a tough time for Israel, with opinion split and Israeli facing down Israeli. We pray for you all.

Have you seen the pictures on TV ?

The police and IDF did everything to provocate the demonstrators, yet they stayed perfectly calm, at least the vast majority of them. The protestors talked to the soldiers, and they pretended not to hear and looked nowhere with a fixed stare ...

These pictures hurt me more than a terror attack ever could:

The terrorists declared goal is to kill Jews and destroy Israel.

The IDF's mission statement is the opposite ... and yet they abandon the citizens of Israel by fighting fellow Jews instead of the enemy.

Strange times ... I recently heard some voices questioning the state-form of democracy, as it almost inevitably weakens a nation over time, and eats up its sense of common identity, and its will to live.

Maybe we're witnessing exactly that in Israel these days ...
