London gets a small taste of what life in Israel is like ...

Islamist terrorists have blown up several bombs in two London tube ( underground ) stations today, a train and a bus. Dozens of civilians were murdered in cold blood. Hundreds more physically injured and psychologically traumatized. The world stock markets have taken a nose-dive ....

London Mayor Ken Livingstone said "the blasts were "mass murder" carried out by terrorists bent on "indiscriminate ... slaughter.""

Scotland Yard's Deputy Assistant Commissioner Brian Paddick commented that "This is a callous attack on purely innocent members of the public deliberately designed to kill and injure members of the public"

A survivor of the bombings told reporters: "We were all trapped like sardines waiting to die," said Angelo Power. "I honestly thought I was going to die, as did everyone else."

British PM Tony Blair declared that "All of our countries have suffered from the impact of terrorism," he said. "Those responsible have no respect for human life. We are united in our resolve to confront and defeat this terrorism that is not an attack on one nation, but all nations and on civilized people everywhere."

George W. Bush proclaimed that "We will not yield to these people, will not yield to the terrorists. We will find them, we will bring them to justice, and at the same time we will spread an ideology of hope and compassion that will overwhelm their ideology of hate."

One man, with blood streaming down the left side of his face from a wound on his temple, said he didn't "want to live through it again."

"I was in the front carriage and people were severely injured there," he said, dispassionately, adding that his train had been in the tunnel between King's Cross and Russell Square. "I heard, but I don't know, that people were hurt worse further back. "Some people were very calm, others very panicky."

"There was a very loud bang, the lights went out, the carriage filled with smoke," he said. "We were all thrown forward."

Scotland Yard sent out a notice saying that "public transport in London will be affected in the next few days."

Israelis visiting London these days must almost feel as if they were at home there …

Another eye-witness told that "There were bodies everywhere. Heads and bits of bodies, heads and arms and legs all ripped away.”

"There seemed to be kids lying around as well as adults. I'm just in shock, it's something I'll never forget." ( italicized parts quoted from http://www.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/europe/07/07/london.tube/index.html )

Welcome to Israel, United Kingdom.

We’re all in the same boat, we all face the same enemy.

The sooner you realize this, the earlier this madness of terror attacks will be history.

The later, the sooner terror will become everyday’s reality, everywhere in the West.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the innocent victims of these murderous attacks by islamist freedom fighters, ooops, I meant to say terrorists.

May they not have died in vain, and may the western world recognize the threat posed by radical Islam.

I hope the British government will draw the right conclusion from these attacks, and not go down the road of appeasement – the same road it urges Israel to take in dealing with the same kind of jihaddis.

Maybe they’ll even realize what a folly it was in the first place to bully Israel into “playing nice” with those “freedom fighters” who have murdered thousands of Israelis in the way dozens of Londoners were murdered today. Just maybe …

Now the hour of truth has come … does London practice what it preaches to Israel ?

Will they look inside themselves and ask “What did we do to these poor people to make them so desperate as to murder us ?” Willl they procede to give to the terrorists, errh freedom fighters, whatever they demand, in the way Israel is supposed to give away her land to the murderers of her people ?

Or will the Tommies recognize that "good" and "evil" are no abstract concepts, and that there are real-life evil men and evil ideologies out there, and start to fight for their right to live instead of waiting to be slaughtered ?

I don’t count on rationality to set in anytime soon, though … my bet is that they’ll make a compromise:

They’ll call the London terrorists by their proper name, terrorists namely, though these terrorists claim to fight for “freedom from British imperialism,”
while at the same time continuing to call the terrorists, who kill Jews in Israel “activists”, “extremists” or simply “freedom fighters.”

Prove me wrong, citizens of the UK, please.

Let us fight islamist terrorism together.
Israel is ready to stand with you, as brothers in the spirit of the free.
Anytime, and whatever it takes.

Except in case she is eradicated by our common enemy in the meantime ...
